My name is Rebeca, I´m a Spaniard living in Seattle. This is my first time living abroad but in my trips both for work or tourism one thing I enjoy the most is lunch/dinner time. I love to discover restaurants, bistros or street stands which amaze me with new and exotic flavors. But now I´m far away from Spain I miss the simple food, the olive oil, the way to do a great dish with just a couple of ingredients and when I visit my home town I try to taste as much as I can. Nothing like home!!
In my almost 3 years living here I´ve noticed some misunderstandings about the Spanish and by extension Mediterranean cuisine, or maybe I have to say about cooking in general. People in the US think you have to have a special skill to be able to cook and the process is about mixing a lot of ingredients in a complicated way.
Well, I don´t think so. You can get delicious and healthy dishes, with not too many ingredients, in a short period of time, and most importantly , ENJOY it. Let me show you!!
